Many homes and hospitals in southern coastal regions, such as Florida and Texas, have begun preparing for this year’s Hurricane Season. This is the case of Houston Northwest Medical Center. In an article found on their website, patients are given safety tips in preparation for a storm.
As their website explains “You should be aware of news about any tropical developments. Local news programs, the radio, Internet and weather channels are great sources of information. Statistically, most hurricanes that make landfall in the United States occur in September, followed by August and July.”
The hospital went over how important it is to prepare your home for a storm. Whether it is by installing shutters or purchasing a quality emergency standby generator. Knowing many patients require the use of power to be able to use some of their medical equipment, owning a generator will allow for continuous power even during a power outage due to a storm.
For more information about the different generators available for your home, contact your local Personalized Power Systems.
